In 2023, 96% of our eligible new projects achieved (or are in the process ofachieving) sustainable building certifications. Why are we working so hard to garner sustainable certifications? It’s not just important to our team, it’s also important to our customers. In fact, one-third of the space leased to our 25 largest customers is sustainably certified! We are going to put the knowledge we have gained to good use. We are partnering with the International Living Future Institute (ILFI),Amazon, JLL and JPMorganChase to update ILFI’s certification guidelines. The biggest priority is to create a path for existing buildings to decarbonize and earn certification. I’m looking forward to sharing more details as this project unfolds!https://lnkd.in/gWN4HEGx

Our dedication to sustainability has driven us to achieve significant milestones that not only benefit our customers but also propel us toward our net zero goal and set new standards for the industry. I am proud to share our Prologis 2023-2024 ESG Report, highlighting the substantial achievements we've made in our sustainability efforts over the past year. A few standouts worth noting:- Piloted an innovative paving system at three sites, reducing concrete thickness and cutting embodied carbon by 20-40% compared to baseline pavement.- Surpassed 500 MW of solar and storage capacity.- Tested "Pozzotive" recycled glass technology at a new facility in Newark, which uses 100% post-consumer glass and can replace up to50% of cement in concrete, significantly reducing embodied CO2 emissions.- Delivered more than 2 million miles worth of EV truck-charging services through Prologis Mobility.- Installed LED lighting across 74% of our owned and managed operating properties by year-end 2023.These accomplishments underscore our commitment to sustainability and our continuous efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, along with that of our customers. We are excited to continue offering these innovative solutions to help our customers achieve their sustainability goals.Read more about what the Prologis team made possible in our full ESG report: https://prolo.gs/45ctXmF

A landmark achievement for Prologis Energy: our first major solar project in Mexico is online! We joined our customer CEVA Logistics on-site to “flip the switch.”This project is the first step of many – a significant contribution toward our 1GW by 2025 goal. Thanks to our partners at Beetmann for helping us make this possible. We’re happy to be able to offer a 100% clean energy solution to our customers in Mexico – a solution that is unheard of for developers in this market.

How does Prologis approach sustainable logistics?🏗️ Build low-carbon structures from the start - our global construction innovation team is evaluating over 140 construction technologies to reduce our embodied carbon footprint.🔋 Focus on operations and clean energy opportunities - our Eindhoven DC4 property, for example, produces more renewable energy than it takes to power the building and its operations… it’s become a source for 700 households in the community!⚡️🚛 Fleet electrification represents more than just a technological upgrade: It's a catalyst for transformative change in logistics and how goods are moved around the world.Want to learn more about how we’re future-proofing our business? The greatest potential for addressing global #carbonemissions within the next ten years lies in decarbonizing our power grid. We’ve been working actively with ZEROGrid to help tackle transitioning to a reliable, affordable and fully decarbonized grid. Find out how you can get involved atZEROGrid.orgThe upcoming changes to the grid that Susan mentions below will help Prologis customers electrify their building and mobility needs faster, increase operational efficiency and cost savings, and reduce emissions by using more sustainable onsite generation.Read all about the grid transition in Susan Uthayakumar's bylinedGreenBiz Group article:
